We are Yuhmi (You + Me), Michelle Vazquez and Victor Vazquez a Miami art duo. We started collaborating in 2009 on design based work, and officially became an art duo. We specialize in painting illustrations, murals, installations, and toy designs.

Our characters are an ode to our life. A collaborative unified vision. A continuous narrative inspired by all of our memories, dreams, and culture. Traditional and popular culture alike.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers predicts sea levels in South Florida will rise from three to seven inches by the year 2030 and from nine to 24 inches by the year 2060. Such changes would mean daunting challenges for South Florida communities to stay habitable. This theme is explored in the documentary, “South Florida’s Rising Seas,” produced by FIU School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) professors Kate MacMillin and Dr. Juliet Pinto. Juliet, a journalism associate professor whose research focuses on environmental communication will join us to discuss the issue.
