This week Bassment Sessions heads to Bolivia as we invite two new comers to the show Bmau and Marco Velasco. Tune in to hear the sounds of the Bolivian underground, as well as a special set recorded by our host SpinnZinn at a secret underground event this past Saturday March 7.




Marco Velasco

Born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia at the end of the 80s, Marco Velasco aka Marco Velkeo was experiencing music trough his vocal talent since an early age.

Between the years, he was trying to find himself into music and after experiencing it in many different ways (such as participating in Latin American Idol contest) then he started working as PR in club and electronic events, which lead him to find him self in the dance scene. Now he has shared stage with big names of the industry like Robert Dietz, Fur Coat, Henry Saiz, Blondish, Ambivalent, Guy Mantzur, Mathias Kaden, Francis Harris, Wehbba, Anthony Collins, Tiesto, dPen between others, making himself get known and respected in the dance music scene.

His influences go from rock, latin grooves to dance: Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Radiohead, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy Gerber, Luciano, Sven Vath …


In 2012 he created the GROOVESENSE BOLIVIA Movement, which consists in amazing parties that go from Sunset to Clubs, always taken place in beautiful and unique places around Bolivia, being one of the main goals to make a better and bigger electronic scene in his country, he has had big international artists of the industry as special guests and now he is starting to go beyond Bolivia.

What defines Marco Velkeo ́s Music? It would be a fusion of elegant and sophisticated melodic sounds with a touch of darkness and hypnotic groovy vibes, he is now working into music production and he promises to deliver unique music very soon.
