John McNulty from Makers Square

Makers Square is a membership-based makerspace\social club located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We believe in continuous education for all, and have created a workspace for members of artistic and creative natures to collaborate, plan, and fabricate projects.
We are based on the desire to learn new skills, create art, and provide a productive outlet for artistic ideas. Makers Square believes that life is continuous education, that given the right teachers one can learn anything, and that no idea is too “out there” when the right people are involved. Make something out of anything. Make something of your skills. Make something.

Outlit Aenue Find a Way

Jorge-Miguel Rodriguez, Artist for A Swing Thing by Outlit Avenue

“A Swing Thing” is an interactive project that will put the unity back into community.Miami is a tropical city with an abundance of carefully maintained natural beauty, yet explore a little further and you will find neglected and abused areas. Our goal is to bring awareness and appreciation to these places while bringing forth new life through the instillation of one of a kind, hand painted swings. The swings will serve as an outlet to anyone looking to gather or release their thoughts, while exercising their bodies and re-connecting to the natural world. This project will bring out the carefree child in people of all ages.
